The age-old question! HoneyBook vs Dubsado! What are the differences? Which one is the best option for my business? Which one should I use?
In this video, I’m going to talk about a few of the differences between HoneyBook and Dubsado. But first, I’d like to make a side note! When we’re talking about choosing a system for your business, don’t just choose the system that worked for your friend or for another business owner! They’re a different person and they own a different business than you! I always say that you have to pick the system that works best for both you AND your business. You can’t have one without the other! Okay, now that we have that clear, let’s dive in!
Which One Should I Choose?
Honestly, I can’t tell you the answer to that question. But I can tell you the differences between the two platforms! Then you have to be the one to consider which one do you actually want to use more?
Simplicity
HoneyBook is going to be the simpler of the two platforms. Whereas Dubsado has a lot higher level of automations. Dubsado has more automation options, more workflow options, and you can have a lot more freedom to build a workflow the way you want to build it. HoneyBook is a little more simplified with a few more limitations.
Dubsado has a higher-end interface. So there are times that business owners go in and feel overwhelmed like ‘I don’t even know where to start in this platform.’ On the other hand, people go into HoneyBook and say, ‘There’s a few things that are overwhelming, but I feel like I can really navigate my way around and it’s pretty simple once I get the hang of it.‘
Simplicity and usability are a huge piece to the puzzle and it’s something that people often forget to think through. It is important to think about whether or not you’re going to be able to use it and if you’re actually going to enjoy using it.
Outsourcing
Simplicity and usability are a huge piece to the puzzle and it’s something that people often forget to think through. It is important to think about whether or not you’re going to be able to use it and if you’re actually going to enjoy using it. But, another question you may need to ask yourself is “Do I really need a lot of high-level automations in my business?” If the answer is yes, you may also want to think about outsourcing it to somebody who’s an expert and investing in your business. It may be valuable for you to have someone set it up for you and then teach you how to use it instead of trying to do it on your own.
Do You Enjoy It?!
That’s really the big takeaway here – they both have similar features. You can do templates, scheduling, send proposals and contracts, as well as integrations. But HoneyBook will be the more simplified version of a CRM. Dubsado will give a more robust, high level experience behind-the-scenes and you’ll have some more freedom with the automations. It really comes down to, what do you enjoy using? I personally am a HoneyBook user. Obviously, I’m a HoneyBook Pro! But I have worked in Dubsado with a number of business owners and I can speak into that as well.
